Wild Rose MX
What riders say
Wild Rose MX, run by the non-profit Wild Rose Motocross Association since 1984, is one of Canada's most unique tracks because it sits on 88 acres literally inside Calgary's city limits. Riders and the broader moto community describe it as a special, community-focused destination with more than 45 years of history, drawing tens of thousands of visitors a year. It is welcoming to out-of-town riders and non-members, runs reduced fees to encourage women riders, and even operates year-round with a studded-tire winter track.
The biggest draw is variety. The facility packs in three full-size tracks plus beginner, peewee, mini, and an enduro/trials park, so it genuinely serves every skill level. The main track, rebuilt in 2012 by a top builder, earns respect for its big, technical jumps, elevation changes, and loamy soil; the east track is the practice and intermediate option; and the hill track is a favorite for natural-terrain flow. A color-coded green/blue/black rating system makes it easy for riders to pick lines that match their ability.
