Dirt Bike Program

P.E. at the track.

Two hours of real riding on a Thursday or Friday, while everyone else is at a desk. Small groups. Bike, helmet, and riding gear included. Kids, teens, and parents ride too. If you can ride a bicycle, we can teach you to ride a dirt bike.

How a session works

Two hours. First laps on day one.

1. Gear up

Every rider gets a bike sized to fit, a helmet, and riding gear. You just bring closed-toe shoes, water, and a snack.

2. Ground school

Before the engine starts, the coach walks through the clutch, the throttle, starting, and stopping. Every rider knows the controls before they roll.

3. Ride

Beginners ride a flat, open learning area apart from the main track, in a controlled environment with the coach right there. Riders who are ready move up through our four levels.

What you get

Try one visit. Or take the term.

Same coach, same small group. The term is where the progress happens: four sessions and your rider stops thinking about every lever and just rides.

Is this for us?

Built for families who learn on their own schedule.

All ages, 4 to adult

Kids, teens, and parents ride too. Riders are grouped by level, not age, so a parent and a 10-year-old can learn side by side.

The only must-have

At least 3 ft tall and already able to ride a bicycle. If they can pedal and balance a bicycle, they're ready. No dirt bike experience needed.

Their crew, every week

Book the same day and time each week and ride with the same small group of homeschool families. That's the part kids talk about on the drive home.

Questions

Before you book

Do the 4 term sessions have to be the same day each week?

No. You pick any 4 sessions on any Thursdays or Fridays that are open. Most families keep the same day and time so their rider stays with the same group.

How young is too young?

Age isn't the real test. Riders need to be at least 3 ft tall (our smallest bike is a 50) and already ride a bicycle without training wheels.

Can parents ride?

Yes. Add yourself as a rider when you book. We have bikes that fit adults.

Can I stay and watch?

Yes. Plenty of parents bring a chair and watch from the fence line.

What do we bring?

Closed-toe shoes, long pants, water, and a snack. We provide the bike, helmet, and riding gear. Riding your own bike? Pick "Bringing our own bike" and bring your own helmet and boots.

What if it rains?

If the track can't be ridden, we'll reach out and move your session to another open Thursday or Friday.

Where is it?

Spoaks Moto Park, 1930 Barth Road, Lockhart, TX 78644. About 30 minutes south of Austin.
