Cops impounding your kid's bike?

E-motos in the neighborhood are a fight that's already lost. Spoaks Moto Park is where they actually belong — private property, real dirt, full throttle legal. We'll teach your rider the technique that turns chaos into control.

Why we built this class
  • Off the streets.
  • On the dirt.
  • Out of the news.
  • Into the sport.
The class

Three hours.
One real skill set.

The same body-mechanics curriculum we teach on dirt bikes, condensed and adapted to e-motos. 9 AM to 12 PM. Whatever level you walk in at, you'll leave smoother.

01.

Foundations

Body position, throttle control, where to look. The mechanics that separate "kid on the street" from "rider in control."

02.

Application

Corners, dirt traction, modulating throttle and brake on loose ground. Repping the right habits until they stick.

03.

Free riding

Open track. Real laps. The corrections you learned hour one + two locked in at speed.

Who this is for

If you own one, you're invited.

  • Surron, Talaria, Stark, and similar e-motos.
  • E-bikes that hit 30+ mph (real ones).
  • Riders new to the dirt, of any age.
  • Parents bringing kids who shouldn't be on the street.
  • Riders who can hold throttle but want technique.
  • Anyone tired of the cat-and-mouse with cops.
What you'll learn

Real technique.
Same drills as the MX side.

01

Body position

The base every skill builds on. Locked in by hour one.

02

Throttle control

Smooth on, smooth off. The single biggest gap between street and track riders.

03

Cornering on dirt

How loose surfaces actually work. Inside foot, outside leg, eyes up.

04

Braking that doesn't wash

Where most e-moto crashes happen. We'll fix the front-brake reflex.

05

Vision & line choice

Where to look and how far ahead. Cheap to learn, expensive to skip.

06

Drill bank to take home

The drills you can run anywhere — open field, parking lot, real track.

Why The MX Factory

10 years of motocross. Now on e-motos.

Body mechanics translate. The same drills that turn raw amateurs into national-qualifier dirt bike racers turn raw e-moto riders into people who actually know what they're doing on dirt. This class isn't a separate curriculum — it's the same one, condensed.

Your coach · Charles Sneed

Trained by the best.

Charles Sneed is the MX Factory's Learn-to-Ride coach. He's a certified MX Factory coach, trained directly by head coach Tre McCollough, and has personally coached over 250 riders through their first laps. He's the coach our parents specifically request — calm, patient, and very good at meeting new riders exactly where they are.

For a class where 80% of the work is body-mechanics fundamentals, Charles is the right call. He won't push your rider into anything they're not ready for. He'll just make them better than they were when they walked in.

Questions

Before you sign up.

What kind of e-moto / e-bike qualifies?

Surron, Talaria, Stark, Onyx, and similar electric dirt-bike-style machines. Any e-bike capable of 30+ mph. If you can ride it on a track without falling apart, you're in. Email us if you're unsure about your specific bike.

What level of rider should I be?

Any. The class is built around fundamentals, so total beginners are welcome. Intermediate and advanced riders who've been street-riding will get the most out of the cornering and throttle-control sections.

What's the age range?

We'll take riders age 8 and up. Anyone under 16 needs a parent or guardian on site. Bring your own bike sized appropriately for the rider.

What do I need to bring?

Your bike, full gear (helmet, goggles, boots, gloves at minimum, chest protector and pants strongly recommended), water, and snacks. Bring a fully charged battery and a spare if you have one — we'll be riding a lot.

What if it rains?

We coach in light rain. If conditions become unsafe, we'll reschedule for the next available Monday. Full credit applies, no refunds for weather.

Refund policy?

Full refund up to 14 days before the class. After that, registration converts to a credit valid at any MX Factory class. See our refund policy for full terms.

Do I need to sign anything?

Yes. All participants (or a parent/guardian for minors) must sign The MX Factory's liability waiver, assumption-of-risk agreement, and photo-release before riding. You'll receive the waiver by email after registration and we'll also have copies at check-in. Helmets are mandatory; chest protector, gloves, long pants, and over-the-ankle boots are strongly recommended. Riders without a signed waiver or required gear will not be permitted to participate, with no refund.

Important · Read before registering

  • You are responsible for the condition, maintenance, and legal operation of your own vehicle, including brakes, tires, throttle, and battery.
  • You will wear a DOT- or Snell-approved helmet at all times while on the bike. Additional protective gear is strongly recommended.
  • Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must sign all forms on the minor's behalf.
  • The MX Factory may take photos and video at the event for marketing and instructional use. By participating you grant a non-exclusive perpetual license to use your likeness, unless you specifically opt out in writing at check-in.
  • The MX Factory reserves the right to refuse service or remove any participant who is intoxicated, riding unsafely, or violating instructor direction, without refund.
