E-Moto School is a three-hour technique clinic for e-moto riders. Surron, Talaria, Stark, and any electric dirt bike. Bring your own bike. We bring the coach, the private track, and the same fundamentals we have taught to thousands of motocross riders since 2012. Our first E-Moto School sold out in 14 days. This is class two.

Saturday, October 17, 2026, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (check-in 12:30 PM) at Spoaks Moto Park, 1930 Barth Rd, Lockhart, TX 78644. Coach: Charles Sneed. Class size: 10 riders. Ages 8 and up; riders under 18 need a parent or guardian on site.

Bring your own e-moto with a fully charged battery, a helmet, goggles, gloves, long pants, and over-the-ankle boots. No rentals for this class. Full refund up to 14 days before the class; after that, registration converts to a credit valid at any MX Factory class. See our refund policy.

Risk and liability

Motorsports are inherently dangerous. Operating an e-moto, e-bike, dirt bike, or any motorized vehicle on dirt involves risk of serious injury or death. Participants ride at their own risk. The MX Factory does not guarantee participant safety. By registering, you (or the parent or guardian of a minor participant) agree that you voluntarily assume all risks of injury, property damage, and death arising from participation; that you will sign a written Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement before riding; that you are responsible for the condition and legal operation of your own vehicle; that a DOT- or Snell-approved helmet is worn at all times on the bike; that minors are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who signs on their behalf; that The MX Factory may photograph and film the event for marketing and instructional use unless you opt out in writing at check-in; and that The MX Factory may remove any participant who is riding unsafely or ignoring instructor direction, without refund. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

For parents

Your kid's e-moto belongs on dirt.

E-motos showed up in driveways before anyone built a place to learn them. Spoaks Moto Park is where they actually belong: private property, real dirt, room to try again. We teach your rider the technique that turns chaos into control.

Why we built this class
  • Off the streets.
  • On the dirt.
  • Out of the news.
  • Into the sport.
The class

Three hours.
One real skill set.

The same body-mechanics curriculum we teach on dirt bikes, condensed and adapted to e-motos. Saturday, October 17, 1 PM to 4 PM. Check-in at 12:30. Whatever level you walk in at, you leave smoother.

01.

Foundations

Body position, throttle control, where to look. The mechanics that separate a kid on the street from a rider in control.

02.

Application

Corners, dirt traction, modulating throttle and brake on loose ground. Repping the right habits until they stick.

03.

Free riding

Open track. Real laps. The corrections from hours one and two locked in at speed.

Who this is for

If you own one, you're invited.

  • Surron, Talaria, Stark, and similar e-motos.
  • E-bikes that hit 30+ mph.
  • Riders new to dirt, of any age.
  • Parents who want their kid on dirt with a coach, not on the street alone.
  • Riders who can hold the throttle but want real technique.
  • Anyone who wants to ride like they know what they're doing.
What you'll learn

Real technique.
Same drills as the MX side.

01

Body position

The base every skill builds on. Locked in by hour one.

02

Throttle control

Smooth on, smooth off. The single biggest gap between street riders and track riders.

03

Cornering on dirt

How loose surfaces actually work. Inside foot, outside leg, eyes up.

04

Braking that holds

Where most new e-moto riders get in trouble. We fix the front-brake reflex.

05

Vision & line choice

Where to look and how far ahead. Cheap to learn, expensive to skip.

06

Drill bank to take home

Drills you can run anywhere: open field, parking lot, real track.

What's included

  • Three hours of coaching with an MX Factory coach
  • Private dirt at Spoaks Moto Park, no public traffic
  • A drill bank to take home and keep running
  • Parents welcome at the fence the whole time

What you bring

  • Your own e-moto with a fully charged battery (spare if you have one)
  • Helmet, goggles, gloves, long pants, over-the-ankle boots
  • Chest protector strongly recommended
  • Water and snacks. It's Texas.
Why The MX Factory

A decade of motocross. Now on e-motos.

Body mechanics translate. The same drills we have used to coach thousands of dirt bike riders turn raw e-moto riders into people who actually know what they're doing on dirt. This is not a separate curriculum. It is the same one, condensed.

Your coach · Charles Sneed

He ran the first one.

Charles Sneed is The MX Factory's Learn-To-Ride coach at Spoaks Moto Park. He was trained by Tyler Livesay and Tre McCollough and coached our first E-Moto School, the one that sold out in 14 days. He is the coach parents ask for by name: calm, patient, and very good at meeting a new rider exactly where they are.

For a class where most of the work is body-mechanics fundamentals, Charles is the right call. He will not push your rider into anything they are not ready for. He will make them better than they were when they walked in.

Questions

Before you sign up.

What kind of e-moto or e-bike qualifies?

Surron, Talaria, Stark, Onyx, and similar electric dirt-bike-style machines. Any e-bike capable of 30+ mph. Email info@themxfactory.com if you are unsure about a specific bike.

What level should the rider be?

Any. The class is built around fundamentals, so first-timers on dirt are welcome. Riders who have been street riding get the most out of the cornering and throttle-control blocks.

What is the age range?

Riders 8 and up. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian on site. Bring a bike sized for the rider.

Do you rent bikes for this class?

No. E-Moto School is bring your own bike. Our rental fleet is gas dirt bikes for Learn-To-Ride sessions.

What do we bring?

Your bike with a fully charged battery (a spare if you have one), helmet, goggles, gloves, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, water, and snacks. A chest protector is strongly recommended.

What if it rains?

We coach in light rain. If the track is unrideable we reschedule to the next available date and your registration moves with you. No refunds for weather.

Refund policy?

Full refund up to 14 days before the class. After that, registration converts to a credit valid at any MX Factory class. See our refund policy for full terms.

Do we sign anything?

Yes. Every participant (or a parent or guardian for minors) signs The MX Factory's liability waiver, assumption-of-risk agreement, and photo release before riding. You get the waiver by email after registration and there are copies at check-in. Riders without a signed waiver or required gear cannot participate, with no refund.
