Moriarty MX
What riders say
Moriarty MX (38 Martin Road, Moriarty, NM) is widely regarded as the largest moto compound in New Mexico and the centerpiece of the high-desert riding scene just 28 miles east of Albuquerque on I-40. Riders and track directories consistently describe it as a destination facility with serious variety: two full-sized outdoor motocross tracks, an AX/SX track, and a dedicated mini track, so groups of mixed ages and abilities all have somewhere to ride on the same day.
The design earns particular praise for flow. The main tracks are built with big jumps that pair very safe takeoffs with long, forgiving landings, and the natural elevation changes feed multi-line corners that keep laps interesting without feeling intimidating. Many riders call out the jumps as some of the most fun at any public track while still being approachable for a broad range of skill levels.
A standout extra is the Supercross-style track built for AMA pro Jason Anderson, a genuine rhythm-section layout that gives advanced riders a true SX experience. With camping permitted the night before races and a well-organized race program, Moriarty serves as a welcoming high-desert home base for the Albuquerque region.
