Oak Hill MX
What riders say
Oak Hill Raceway (1636 Co Rd 1270, Alvord, TX) is one of the most storied amateur motocross facilities in the country, established in 1975 and sitting on 185 acres about an hour north of Dallas/Fort Worth. Riders and national media consistently treat it as a true bucket-list venue: it hosts the GNC (Grand National Championship), where the top amateurs in the nation come to race and earn pro rides, which has cemented Oak Hill's reputation as a proving ground for talent.
The facility's depth is a major draw. Seven distinct tracks, including a National track, a GP/beginners track, Endurocross, and Vintage layouts, mean novices and seasoned pros alike have terrain that fits. The dirt rides sandy over a harder base, which produces excellent ruts, berms, and lines as the day develops and rewards riders who can read a track. Lap times on the National run just over two minutes, with most sections offering both a safe option and a faster option.
Its signature feature, the famous Baker's Dozen, is a stretch of 13 steeply peaked whoops as serious as anything at a Monster Energy Supercross, giving advanced riders a genuine test. Backed by 200+ RV spots with hookups, camping, a playground, and reviewers praising the track prep and management, Oak Hill is a well-run North Texas destination.
